Resumo: This dissertation analyzes ethology in the resignification of the body in Friedrich W. Nietzsche (1844-1900). Starting from the physiological notion of the body, we situate our approach between ontology and ethology. We will use two basic works as a research source to situate and accept the concept of ethology: Monde animaux et monde humain, by Jacob Johann von Uexküll, and Spinoza: Practical Philosophy, by Gilles Deleuze. As an investigative guideline on the ways of being and existing in Nietzschean philosophy, we will use as a research source the Posthumous Fragments dated between 1882 and 1889 with emphasis on the mature phase of Nietzsche's philosophy where he exposed his theory of impulses/affects. Initially, the research aims to situate the debate on ethology and show that, in addition to Nietzsche's criticism of the body and soul dichotomy, we can also identify in the German philosopher an ethological approach to the re-signification of the body and its effectiveness in life, that is, in the formation of ways of existing.
