Utilização de design thinking e gestão de ideias para inovação: estudo de caso em uma organização pública

Resumo: Long time, the use of an effective innovation process hasa key role in private organizations.In the public sector, investment in innovation has provenhow there is output to many problems and challenges of modernity, making it possible to improve the efficiency of public spending and improving the perception of value for the users of the several public services.On the other hand, innovation requires investment in effective processes to absorb the perceptions of users, and treat it as opportunities, in order to turn them into practices that generate results perceived to the users.The master's project proposal consisted of a qualitative and quantitative study aimed to investigate the use of Design Thinking to contribute to the generation of innovation for the services provided by a public organization.In qualitative research, it was made a semi-structured interviews with those responsible for the National Management Innovation of Public Organization, where it was sought to understand the role in the organization, the implementation of the Design Thinking approach in that context, in addition to the main challenges faced.Also, a quatitative study was conducted based on a validated questionnaire by Kosonen et al. (2014), by means the participation of 178 employees of the organization, it was sought to assess the motivation of employees to contribute with ideas on the organization's innovation platform.In the qualitative study, the thematic ana lysis enabled the understanding of the innovation management performance in the public organization studied. The Design thinkig application and application advantages of this approach to the organization and citizens.Furthermore, by means qualitative research was pssivel to detect need for quantitative research to assess the motivations of employees to contribute with ideas for the generation of innovations in the organization.In the quantitative study, significant influences of intrinsic motivation were found in the form of learning benefits and hedonic benefits of the intention to share knowledge and as well as knowledge about the behavior of sharing ideas.However, there were no significant influence on the intention to share knowledge of propensity to trust, social benefits, recognition of their peers and recognition of the organization.The conclusions show that the use of Design Thinking has great potential for contributing to the generation of innovation in public organizations, and still more research is needed to identify the motivations to encourage innovation among employees of the organization.
