Following an exposition developed in the book "Design of comparative experiments"by Bailey (2008), the theory of experimental designs is presented in thee present study with a strong geometric appeal. Thus, tis study aimed to exploring to the maximum the geometric aspects approached by Bailey (2008). Generally, it is aimed to provide a broad text with didactic value. The present study uses a bibliographic research methodology based on Bailey’s book (2008). The results of this study refer to achieving the specific and general objectives mentioned above. To achieve the specific objective, geometric aspects are strongly raised and also geometric figures are illustrated throughout the text. To achieve the general objective, the demonstrations not presented in Bailey’s book (2008) are carried out in detail. Due to the little diffusion of the geometric approach of experimental designs, this text intends to be, despite the difficulty of such intention, a didactic reference in Portuguese to be used by statisticians who plan and analyze experiments.
