Objective: To estimate the prevalence and identify factors associated with reproductive desire among women living with HIV/aids. Methods: A cross-sectional study with 274 women between 18 and 49 years of age living with HIV/aids, of whom 110 lived with serodiscordant partners, attended at SUS Reference Services and in Non-Governmental Organizations that provide assistance to people living with HIV, In the period from september 2015 to august 2016. Face-to-face interviews were carried out with a pre-structured script. Prevalence of reproductive desire was estimated with a 95% confidence interval (95.0% CI). Poisson regression was used to analyze the factors associated with reproductive desire. Results: The prevalence of reproductive desire among women in the investigated sample was 25.9% (95% CI: 21.1-31.4) and associated with age less than 30 years (95% CI: 1.63-5 (95% CI: 1.16-4.49), reproductive partner desire (95% CI: 3.47-16.42), no children (95% CI: 1, 30-3.50), history of abortion (95% CI 1.01-2.72) and undetectable viral load (95% CI 1.02-3.63). Among women with serodiscordant partners the prevalence was 32.7% (95% CI: 24.7-42.0) and the associated factors were age <30 years (95% CI: 1.92-9.61), time of relationship <2 years (95% CI: 1.01-4.99), partner's reproductive desire (95% CI: 2.59-29.41) and absence of children (95% CI: 1.10 -7.17). Conclusion: The studies pointed out the prevalence of 25.9% of reproductive desire among women with HIV/aids in the state of Goiás, with factors associated with the age of less than 30 years, black skin color, Having children, history of abortion and undetectable viral load. Among women with HIV/aids with serodiscordant partners, the prevalence of reproductive desire was 32.7%, with factors predictive of reproductive desire age <30 years, reproductive desire by partner, relationship time <2 years and absence of children. |
