Resumo: This study discusses the poetic work of Arnaldo Antunes, establishing relationship between the author, the literary Modernity, tradition and new production and reproduction’s technologies of work. The category of the lyrical subject had been chosen as conductor of the work. The first chapter it’s basing what had been understood by modernity and analyzed three trends of that time in the poetic work of Arnaldo Antunes: the lyrical subject’s multiplicity; the dissolution of the "I"; and the theoretical discourse and literary critic in speech that it says in the poem. Also, it reflects about the relationship between inspiration and poetic production, as well as analyze the trend of building a "beside himself" in contemporary times. In the second chapter, it’s found the presence of tradition working as influence in the construction of the lyrical subject in the poetic work of Antunes. It’s been performed a trajectory that shows the diversity of influences, as well as its importance in the poetry of the author: mass culture brands, the ancient East, of Dante Alighieri, romanticism, Manuel Bandeira, João Cabral de Melo Neto, and finally, of concretism poetry, it’s analyzed in the chapter. In the third chapter, had been underlined the relationship between the poem-object, the production and reproduction’s means of art and poetic artist studied here. Eliot (1989), Paul Valéry (1999), Dominique Combe (2010), Friedrich Nietzsche (1992), Walter Benjamin (1994), Wladimir Krisinski (2007), Patrícia Martins (2010) e Débora Silva (2011) to support this thesis.
