Resumo: |
This dissertation presents the survey of the Information Behavior of journalists working on online media in Goiânia, capital of the State of Goiás, in the composition of news, reports, articles and other journalistic products related to science, which is here delimited as scientific research. We bring the path that guides the study from the indication of the methodological design adopted, the detailed description of the research problem and its justification, a presentation and explanation of the survey produced and its results linked to the literature already inserted on the subject. A literature review on journalists' Human Information Behaviour studies is also made from studies corrected in national and international databases, in addition to deepening the definition of the concept of Human Information Behavior from the general theory systematized by Wilson (2016) besides with the Kuhlthau Uncertainty Principle (2004). The survey results indicate, among other things, that factors such as professional seniority and work environment influence the behavior of journalists in the search, research, use, validation and sharing of information about science. It was also identified that professionals have both active and passive behavior in the search and management of information. Lastly, the author claims that scientific institutions and researchers design referral mechanisms with local journalists and that reflection on Human Information Behaviour reaches the curriculum of Journalism courses in the country, making future generations of professionals have greater capacity for success in the dissemination of scientific information with quality and safety, without losing sight of the ability to communicate in an accessible language, a characteristic of Journalism - and an advantage of it - that seeks popular adhesion. |
