Resumo: This master's dissertation aimed to study the concept of technique in the works of the Russian psychologist Lev Semionovitch Vygotsky (1896-1934), specifically the ones published between the years 1924 and 1934, elucidating the links established between technique and the process of Human development, whether through art, through the relation with the means of production, through the external techniques (use of tools) elaboration aimed at broadening the human relationship with the environment or through the internal techniques (employment of signs) directed to the control and the improvement of the psychic processes. The analyzed works present the attributes that enable what we conceptualize by "Homo technicus Vigotskiano", the dimension of the technique expressed in a concrete way in the constitution of human wholeness and in its respective historical process of development. It is possible to say that in Vygotsky we have a "psychology of technique" aligned with the materialistic precepts and involved in the concrete reality transformation, gradually elevating man to new ways of understanding the world and his own existence.
