This study aims to relate the trought os Cassiano Ricardo exposed in the March test to West - where ti re-estblish the "pionner myth" - and the appropriation of this myth - as ideological discurse - conducted by the New State to give symbolic support the campaing "March to the West". Our porpose is to demonstrate how this intellectual seeks in his essay, only justified "historically" the existence of the New Stade regime, as well as assess how this discursive construction support to served for the pretension restructuring of the productive system of the country and incorparate the "hinterlands" from the 1930s.
