Resumo: From the indication of the biology of conservation on threats to biological diversity - destruction, fragmentation, habitat degradation, overexploitation of species for human use, introduction of exotic species and increase of occurrence of diseases -, the possibility of extinction of the biome Cerrado Goiano - by the liberalities of the Brazilian Forest Code, Federal Law n. 12,651, of May 25, 2012, of the increase of the conversion of the soil in areas of pasture and planting of monocultures, of amnesties of environmental crimes committed - it is discriminated in this investigation a diagnosis of the management strategies for the conservation of the biodiversity of the Cerrado of Goiás - according to the guidelines of each protected area for the protection of the integrality of territories, protection of resources, monitoring of environmental quality, involvement of surrounding communities, land regularization and inspection - especially the categories of protected areas of protection of the State Environmental Authority. Enrique Leff's Theory of Environmental Rationality provides elements for a radical epistemological breakdown by deconstructing modern economic rationality through the mobilization of environmental knowledge, proposed as an open and inclusive form of knowledge that perceives the environmental complexity of the present. Based on the trajectory of political ecology in Latin America and the concepts of this theory of common good, social reappropriation of nature, sustainability, territoriality and others, research is methodologically guided in the critical analysis of the diagnosis of management strategies for biodiversity conservation in the Cerrado of Goiás.
