Resumo: |
The Brazilian Elementary School in the first half of the 20th century was nationally consolidated, based on political-educational discourse and actions, undertaken through a joint effort of domination, by the Brazilian State, the bodies representing Brazilian education, and ideological movements, with the purpose of forming the Brazilian people's mentality with a view to consolidate an educational project for the capitalist society. For such an undertaking, the national Elementary School presented itself cohesive in its objectives, its organization and its social functioning, when, through institutions, it encouraged, in the social environment, ideologies such as love for the country, its institutions and its national traditions in a patriotic way. This school concept was implemented in Anápolis-GO and, due to its ideological character, it verticalized a conception centered on a conservative and uncritical perspective. With this as a basis, it was necessary to study these influences in the Elementary School, in the city of Anápolis-GO, between the years of 1944 and 1960, a period that alternated political repressions, led to the democratization of the school education in the country and the initial glimpse of the first Law of Directives and Bases of the National Education (LDB/1961). Therefore, considering these contradictions, the intention here is to present the consequences of this national ideology in the documents and guidelines of the Elementary School, especially of Anápolis. This is a bibliographic research and its theoretical cultural-historical referential considering, mainly, the following authors: Rosa Fátima de Souza (1997), Marta Maria Chagas de Carvalho (1998), Justino Magalhães (2019), Wenceslau Gonçalves Neto and Carlos Henrique de Carvalho (2015), among others of relevance in the field of the History of Brazilian Education. The methodology employed documentary research through the historical collection of the City Council of Anápolis-GO, organization of sources in spreadsheets, for contextualization and analysis in State of the Art. Therefore, the result achieved showed that the national Elementary School, constituted at the beginning of the 20th Century to announce and consolidate the Republican Educational Project, spread in the wake of the nationalizing discourse, found in the city of Anápolis-GO a granary for its ideological expansion through the creation of school groups, isolated rural and urban schools influenced by the guidelines of the national Elementary School. |
