Resumo: Faced with the contradictions of the hegemonic rural development model emerging movements and counter moves that will from the 1980s to form an organized body in the figure of agroecology. This will be the result of multiple movements involving a historical process and materials promoted by farmers, traditional peoples, researchers, technicians, consumers and social movements. In this sense, it is necessary to combine different dimensions in the process of changing conventional agroecosystems to agroecology. The region of Cantuquiriguaçu located in the South Central region of Paraná state has several actors who spend resources and energies to promote a process of capitalization and realization of territoriality of agroecology in this territory. To analyze elements of regional transition process is established as a general objective of the work "to identify contradictions, limits and potentials in agroecological transition of farming families participating in the Núcleo da Rede Ecovida de Agroecologia Luta Camponesa of Cantuquiriguaçu region." For that it conducted a descriptive exploratory research, considering the set of 15 families linked to the core being chosen according to criteria considered key to understanding the agro-ecological transition. Farming families are located in four different municipalities and seven core groups Luta Camponesa. The main results of the work is found that p agroecology building process that territory has as a coordinating agent social movements. That will carry agroecology with a strategic character confronting agriculture model of the green revolution and exclusive rural development. In this context the main trigger factor of the transition of the interviewed families is associated with ideological motivations followed by health issues and environmental impacts. Within the group of farmers interviewed different family strategies that will articulate dynamically productive, social and economic elements. And in accordance with other conditions to build partial transitions or radicals have agroecological activities such as central or secondary, or have chosen to greater or lesser rates of addiction.
