Resumo: | This work aimed to investigate the possible contributions that the Scratch’s language of program could bring in the introduction of the concept of functions, in a 9th grade on a public school of Santa Catarina state. The searching-action was performed from March to May of 2019, with the duration of 20 meetings, totalizing 30 hours, with the participation of 26 students. The proposed teaching and learning practice was built grounded in theoretical assumptions of Meaningful Learning and Constructionism. The students were evaluated before and after the development of the activities, to verify the prior knowledge and evolution in learning, with opened and closed questions related to computational thinking, use of technologies and knowledge about the content of functions. The results were analyzed in a qualitative and quantitative way and point to a significant improvement in learning, bigger interest in mathematics and curiosity to learn. |
