Resumo: | At present, the speed of social and technological change leads to the need for a literature review on the health and working conditions of teachers in Brazil. The work in question is the result of participant observation of a researcher in a school Elementary Schools in the urban area of the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The observation covered the topic Life Quality in Educational Institution of Elementary Education, and, through a literature search can be seen that the long working hours, combined with the lack of recognition and appreciation of the work of the teacher, have extended this category sick physically and psychologically. It was also observed that, in general, there is not much concern of educational institution with the quality of life of teachers. This can be seen by the high number of sick leave because of health problems such as depression, high blood pressure, vocal cord problems, and others, which may be due to factors that occur within institutions such as: bullying, burnout syndrome, aggression students, which will lead to absenteeism. This study aims to contribute to the scientific community, causing further studies, further research and concrete actions in schools and stressing that the welfare of teachers influenced in a positive or negative way, the lessons this professional minister. |
