The complexity of the worldwide economic scenario due to the global market tendency as the competition increase, fast technological development and changes in the environment has forced the corporations to turn their attention to their efficiency as a way to guarantee their survival in this changeable circumstance. This context demands more flexibility of the resources, so the companies have seeked methodologies that allow them to manage the knowledge generated within their process in order to be able to evaluate what is good and what has to be thrown away as a way to undertake the effectiveness in their businesses through a process of ongoing improvement. In this sense, the present study aims to propose a systematic approach to implement knowledge management as a tool for organizational process improvement.
