Resumo: | This research wishes to offer an analysis regarding what is being said about the environment in the medias, specifically at the documentaries about the wild nature showed by Globo Reporter from TV Globo, between 2000 and 2005. Whereby, theoretical terms, where elements belonging to the environmentalist parole are presented, thereby the discursive subsumption , in which the narratives about the environment on TV are based. Such elements are based in a sense of taking nature to a level of entertainment, therefore, worthy of the viewers. For that, we made use of the concepts developed by Guy Debord in 60 s and updated by Douglas Kellner. We have detected that the environmentalist parole has as one of its main objectives to create speech mechanisms to hide the direct relation between the economical development, the acceleration of capitalism and the contemporary environmental tragedy. The representation of the wild nature made by television is also important as way of building national identities at globalization scenery. |
