This dissertation deals with the degradation factors of the rural environment. The history of the community, its formation and participation in the production of the space, the external factors which run for the production of the space, are facts generally observed under the focus of the economical rationality. But, in the center of the discussion, lies the sustainability of the environment and economical rationality do not allow to produce a space where the benefits can-be distributed with more equilibrium between its diverses components. The environmental rationality however orientates the scientific research method, trijing to interact both the ecological and social context, with the purpose of dissolving the social and ecological externalities generated by economical rationality.
