A aposição nos gêneros editorial e artigo de opinião : um enfoque funcionalista da linguagem

This work evaluated the correlation between appositive constructions and communicative goals of editorial and opinion article genera. The research was carried out to attest the hypothesis that discursive, formal and semantic aspects of appositive constructions are strictly related to the socio-communicative goals of the selected genera. Regarding the research corpus, eighty-five occurrences of apposition in the genera editorial and opinion article from Veja magazine and Folha de S. Paulo and A Gazeta newspapers were analyzed. Functionalism linguistic concepts were selected as theory basis for the proposed discussions, because this linguistic approach studies the relation between grammatical structure of languages and the different communicative contexts in which they are used. After the frequency analysis of determinate syntactic forms, semantic relations and textual-discursive functions, it was concluded that appositive constructions significantly contribute to the accomplishment of communicative goals of editorial and opinion article genera.
