Resumo: It studies Lourenço satirical tenções, a very active segrel in Alfonso III royal courts (1245- 1279) in Portugal, and Alfonso X (1252-1284), in Castile. It aims at understanding Lourenço's modus faciendi at these compositions, by identifying and analyzing the strategies and rhetorical-poetic resources used, highlighting the use and the effect of repeating procedures. It undertakes a critical literary review about the jogralesca activity in the Middle Ages; the particularities of the troubadour and the Galician-Portuguese jograria, from which identifies Lourenço as a segrel. It also explores the dialogued genres; the medieval tenção, emphasizing the Galician-Portuguese specificities. It examines the Latin medieval poetriae arts and troubadour poetry, to build a theoretical framework that guides the identification and interpretation of rhetorical-poetic constituents present in Lourenço tenções. The corpus analysis and interpretation checks the subject matter, the existence of opposing traits, the realization of the rule of coblas doblas, the debate layout, the way the segrel prepares defense and attack, the lexical choices and ornamentation, highlighting the repetition procedures. The results show that the inventio, the dispositio and elocutio are interrelated in these debates and that the iterative methods employed work as a way to organize the Cantiga, it also acts in carrying out the persuasio speech and contribute to the development of a rhetoric of impertinence. It concludes that Lourenço assumes a modus faciendi particularly in Galician-Portuguese satirical tenções and that there is a connection between genre, topic, rhetorical-poetic devices, discursive goals, faciendi modus, poetic persona and segrel's name. This work recognizes that Lourenço was competent to defend himself and attack at the poetic debates and that the impertinence constituted a pertinent strategy used at his poetic tenções.
