Resumo: |
In the present study were used mixtures of oils at nutraceutical concentrations of low ω6: ω3 ratio that favors an anti-inflammatory action and high ω9: ω6 ratio that has antioxidant activity. The aim was to assess whether oral nutritional supplement with high ω9: ω6 ratio and low ω6: ω3 ratio, ω3 containing acids (ALA, EPA and DHA) and arginine, has the effect as a pre-conditionant on the nutraceutical antioxidant modulation and lipid profile in surgical trauma in a population of patients undergoing radical prostatectomy. This is a randomized clinical trial, double-blind paired. Supplementation was administered in two doses of 200 ml / day during the preoperative period (5 days before surgery). The sample was divided into 3 groups. G1 - control (0% fat supplement), G2 - arginine (supplement with ω6: ω3 ratio of 8:1), G3 - arginine (supplement with ω9: ω6 ratio of 3.2:1 and ω6: ω3 ratio of 1.4: 1). Parameter analyzed were antioxidants (catalase, superoxide dismutase 1, and superoxide dismutase 2) and lipid profile. Laboratory evaluations were done in the pre-surgery 5 days before the procedure and anesthesia, and 2 Postoperative. There was no statistical difference between groups in the time parameter and antioxidants. Lipid profile (cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides, VLDL) were statistically different in time and not supplement. In parameter HDL showed no statistical difference. |
