We consider that the use of translation activities from Portuguese to Libras, through the didactic-pedagogical procedure of the Didactic Sequence (DS) based on the functionalist approach, can provide teachers of Portuguese language for the deaf with the development of bilingual materials; in addition, it can provide deaf students with an expansion of their linguistic knowledge in both languages, Portuguese and Libras, as well as knowledge within the translation competence. In light of that, this research, which is in the scope of Translation Studies, in the thematic area translation and teaching/learning of languages, aims to build a guide for teachers of Portuguese language as L2 for deaf people with proposals for the use of the pedagogical translation of comics, within a functionalist approach (NORD, 2016) through the didactic-methodological procedure Didactic Sequence (DS) (DOLZ; NOVERRAZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004). To this end, we developed bibliographic research of a basic nature, with a qualitative approach, seeking to list and analyze, in the literature, studies that employ pedagogical translation for the teaching of Foreign Languages (FL) (LAIÑO, 2020) and perform a content analysis of the listed data (MINAYO; DESLANDES; GOMES, 2015). We consider that Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) is the first language (L1) of deaf people from Brazilian urban centers (PINHEIRO, 2017), and the Portuguese language is their L2 (VIEIRA, 2009). Therefore, deaf people have the right to learn Portuguese in the written modality in a dialogical, functional and instrumental way (BRASIL, 2005). Based on the theoreticalmethodological conceptions mentioned above, we present the product, the guide with proposals for pedagogical translation activities organized in modules and consisting of analyses of intraand extratextual elements of the comic genre in order to perceive the progression of their learning throughout the modules, intending to produce a translation for Libras at the end of the process. |
