Permanent Education in Health (EPS) is a topic discussed in different areas of health as a transforming practice and contributor to the training of health workers. Thus, it becomes necessary to know how the professionals of the Expanded Center for Family Health and Primary Care (NASF-AB) understand the processes of permanent education, since this concept encompasses terms that generate doubts and different conceptions, giving rise to reflections on the Policy National Permanent Education in Health. This research aims to analyze the process of Permanent Education in Health from workers and managers of the Expanded Nucleus of Family Health and Primary Care. It consists of a qualitative approach, with the accomplishment of an exploratory-descriptive study. The study was carried out in the municipality of Sobral-CE, with two groups of participants, the first consisting of 2 management professionals responsible for the EPS processes for the NASF-AB and the second group were 15 professionals who work in the NASF-AB program in the municipality of Sobral-CE, totaling 17 professionals. For data collection, semi-structured interviews and documentary research were carried out, through the analysis of documents related to the EPS processes. Data were analyzed using the Content Analysis Technique. All ethical and legal aspects involving research with human beings were respected. As for the characterization of the subjects, it is observed that the majority of the interviewees are female, from the physiotherapy category, the institution of training teaching stands out the Centro Universitário Inta - UNINTA, a large number have between 6 to 10 years of training professional, with a prevalence of 2 to 5 years in primary care and most of them work 40 hours a week. The results revealed that several professionals understand EPS as a training process, recognize the importance and its need for qualification of health practices. All professionals stated that they participated in EPS actions. Several issues were scored between difficulties and facilities, among which stand out as difficulties the organization of the agenda, the CSF team's lack of knowledge about the role of the NASF-AB, the turnover of professionals; and how facilities point to the organization of planning activities and the dissemination of new knowledge. It is concluded that, considering the challenges, it is still necessary to sensitize managers and professionals, so that they understand EPS as inseparable from health work. |
