Resumo: |
This work was developed within the scope of the Professional Master's Degree in Public Policy Assessment (MAPP) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Its main objective was to evaluate the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the policies and actions carried out by the Municipality of Maracanaú. Specifically, it proposed: (1) characterize the SUS Health Network in the Municipality of Maracanaú; (2) discuss the plan of the Municipality of Maracanaú, in implementing public health policy to combat COVID-19; (3) identify the strengths and weaknesses of the actions developed in the Municipality's planning to combat the COVID-19 pandemic; and (4) evaluate the main changes resulting from the fight against COVID-19 by the municipality of Maracanaú in terms of health demands and municipal health policies and actions. The methodology was inspired by in-depth evaluation, specifically, the analysis of content and context with bibliographic and documentary research that used legislation and academic research that deals with the topic. From the research time frame, 2020-2023, it was evident that, in 2020, Maracanaú followed state recommendations based on scientific facts, adopting all measures at the time. The increase in cases began in the 25th week with the creation of the Covid ward in the parking lot of the municipal hospital. In 2021, the municipality focused on a vaccination campaign, which resulted in a considerable drop in the number of confirmed cases and deaths, gradually resuming the opening of the social visa. In 2023, with the end of the pandemic, the municipality will lift all restrictions and begin a series of actions and partnerships with a private network for services suspended in previous years. When we take a look at the historical context covered in this writing during the years 2020-2023, it is possible to see the decrease in the number of cases following the vaccination campaign and a high level of adherence among the population for vaccination, the main way to stop the spread. of COVID-19. |
