Resumo: |
Environmental protection was strengthened with the holding of international conferences, such as the Stockholm Conference, Rio-92 and Rio+20, in which environmental disasters were on the agenda, as well as means to mitigate them and concepts that would be fundamental for International Environmental Law. Among them, the concept of sustainable development, enshrined in the Brundtland Report, which established the transgenerational nature of the preservation of natural resources. The debates at the events led to the understanding that there are no boundaries for environmental damage, resulting in the demand for a transnational perspective to achieve the common good, through governance mechanisms, such as the Sustainable Development Goals, consisting of an evolution of sustainability individual for social and environmental sustainability. In this context, local environmental policy enables the execution of public and private policies with broad, multi-actor participation, giving an effective voice to the different social sectors, as well as monitoring results, in order to evaluate the adequacy of established plans and the need for re-reading , due to the dynamic nature inherent to governance. In this work, the aim is to investigate the relevance of local politics from the perspective of transnationality, governance, sustainability and sustainable development, tracing the historical path of international environmental protection, analyzing the transnational protection of natural resources and identifying the role of local environmental policy in global governance. As for the methodology, the method used in the research consists of deductive, through a qualitative and exploratory study, of a legal and theoretical nature, focused on conceptual, jurisprudential and doctrinal aspects regarding the subject in focus. The technique adopted corresponds to indirect documentation with bibliographic-documentary research, through sources such as printed and digitally published books, as well as digital magazines, legal scientific articles and related areas, legislation and other regulations that govern the subject matter of the study. The research is pure and qualitative in nature, with descriptive and exploratory purposes. |
