Air pollution is an environmental health risk, people are exposed in your environment and the effects of such exposure are uncertain, particularly with regard to your health. The problem is present in the urban environment, overall, mainly because their main sources of pollution, motor vehicles and industries. The goal of this research is to investigate public perceptions about air pollution and its impacts in the city of Fortaleza. Theoretically the research is supported in the perception and social study. The search strategy was taking a case study of roads and neighborhoods of the city of Fortaleza, selected taking into account the socioeconomic status, use and occupation, the data available in levels of air pollution and also the existence of organizations that support the research (neighborhood associations, schools). A mixed methodology was used, employing both qualitative as quantitative techniques. So were conducted interviews with residents of Meireles, Messejana and Center and used questionnaires in three avenues within those neighborhoods to broaden the sample surveyed. The careful and sensitive interpretation of the data gave birth to a set of charts, tables and semantic networks. Air pollution agenda appears as a situation that is not currently in a state of crisis or conflict, the analysis noted the role of context as largest influencer of the perceptions of the quality of the air, raising your level of perception, so as the existence of the reluctance to establish direct links between the subject and the quality of the air. |
