This work investigated teaching and learning in Chemistry focusing on Environmental Education from the approach of CTSA education, investigated the application of the CTSA educational approach in chemistry classes, promoting the dialogue of this curricular component with environmental education. The study was carried out at the Darcy Ribeiro State School of Professional Education, in the city of Fortaleza, with a target audience of 37 students from the third year of integrated technical secondary education in the Landscaping course. It made the use of thematic classes based on environmental problems of the locality of the students and the surroundings of the school, aiming at the possibility of the students to understand both the chemical processes themselves and the construction of a scientific knowledge in close relation with the technological applications and their implications environmental, social, political and economic. The research is classified as descriptive bibliographical documentary with field study, we use the inductive and deductive approach with qualitative-quantitative analysis. The research technique used was a closed questionnaire of thematic research, another one of socioeconomic character of the subjects of the research and evaluation of learning in chemistry, based on the above mentioned pedagogical approach and its relationship with environmental education, as well as an interview with the objective to evaluate the use of the CTSA proposal. The research concluded that the use of the CTSA approach in chemistry classes has a relevant contribution to a better understanding of the content and critical formation of the students in relation to the environment in which they live. |
