Resumo: The furniture pole of Marco in the state of Ceará is the bigger in the state and one of the more qualified of the regions North and Northeast of Brazil. The supply of wood to pole come from other regions of the country, which causes an increase in the production cost in the local furniture industry. An alternative to confront this problem is the production of raw material in state. For this purpose, it was made the planting of forestry species in the irrigated perimeter Baixo Acaraú to supply the demand of the local furniture industries. In this research was evaluated if the growth and the characteristics of the lignocellulosic fractions in the species acacia mangium (Acacia mangium Willd), angico (Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil (Griseb.) Altschu), casuarina (Casuarina equisetifolia L. ex J. R. Forst. & G. Forst), pau d’arco roxo (Handroanthus impetiginosus (Mart. ex DC.) Mattos), sobrasil (Colubrina glandulosa subsp. reitzii (M. C. Johnst.) Borhidi) and the clones of eucalyptus GG 680 (Eucalyptus urophila x Eucalyptus grandis), VE 38 (Eucalyptus urophila x Eucalyptus camaldulensis) and VE 41 (Eucalyptus urophila x Eucalyptus grandis) under two hydric regimes in the irrigated perimeter Baixo Acaraú, Ceará, with the objective to get information about those species and hybrids in the edaphoclimatic conditions of Acaraú. In the growth analysis the medium values of volume confirm that the studied species can be planted in any of hydric regime, except the clones of eucalyptus VE 38 and GG 680. The analysis of the lignocellulosic fractions indicate the possibility of to develop technologic routes to add value of these residues notably considering their lignin contents. For instance the possible elaboration of products similar to particle boards, as MDF or HDF. The species also demonstrates potential to been used in the production of cellulosic pulp, with exception of Pau d’arco roxo due to high content of ashes. Concludes that the five studied species and three clones of eucalyptus presented conditions of forestry exploitation in the state of Ceará.
