Resumo: | This thesis aims to analyze the narratives of young high school students of a public school in Maceio on school institution. In order to understand the way they represent it. This is because the representations are the way they see themselves and others. The work makes use of a sociological look , but also incursa in Cultural Studies with an emphasis on analysis in education and in some contemporary discussions about youth and about cultures . The analyzes of some authors served as reference for this work , among them are Stuart Hall , Kathyn Woodward , Tomaz Tadeu da Silva , Juarez Dayrell , Alfredo Veiga-Neto and Marisa Costa Vorraber . The methodology built to the incursions of the field research was based on qualitative research , a case study consisting of the composition of group discussion and production of photographic images to analyze the representations of the school referred to by the young students . Analyses showed that the school has set up in a whirlwind of things for young people and that the greatest motivation to be in it does not consist in the knowledge that formally disseminated , but being with friends . Sociability wins a proportion not quantified within the school and its importance can not be calculated . Thus , the young students attribute meaning to school when this dialogue or engage with what they are , ie , young and not just students . Thus , it was found that young students expect more from the school. Thus, these representations clash with the design of the modern school. |
