Resumo: Climacteric is the transition period between a reproductive phase or fertile andnonreproductive. Second WHO, it’s a biologicalphase and not a pathological condition of the woman. This phase can trigger symptoms such as vasomotor, psychological, genitourinary, sexual, and other, arising from hypoestrogenism that impair their quality of life. It is known that the relationship between these symptoms and quality of life related to health is still controversial, complex subject and rarely discussed among professionals of the health area. From the perspective of training for comprehensive health care, especially in women's care during climacteric, this research aimed to identify any limits on the HU stage in the development of general skills, which are essential to care for women during climacteric. This research had as its end result, the construction of a scientific paper, and the elaboration of an educational pamphlet fan-shaped (product), which has an objective to bring relevant information to users on climacteric in the basic health units such as: students and health professionals. The article presents a survey of the quantitative approach where was used a Likert questionnaire for data collection. The results showed that students perceived that the opportunities for developing general skills cognitive and relational were in the comfort zone. However, opportunities for the development of specific technical skills such as: physical, gynecological and cytological examination, as well as the skills of integrative order was in critical zone. These results show that although there are positive initiatives to break with traditionalism of medical training, the greatest opportunities experienced by students in relation to women's health during climacteric, are still focused on cognition.
