This dissertation brings the proposal to verify what influences that an extension project may have on the identities of the young participants. The analyzed extension project was carried out in the Rural Community of Sutil, located in Ponta Grossa/PR. The Extension Project "Active Voice" was organized by the Ponta Grossa State University, through the Racial-Ethnic Relations, Gender and Sexuality Unit at the State University of Ponta Grossa, subsidized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education of Paraná in order to rescue the self-esteem and empowerment of young people of that community. The survey draws an analogy about the material bridge (COSTA and BESSA, 2010; FONSECA, 2010), extension in Freire's perspective (Freire, 1983), and the subjectivity found within this analogy the bias to the rap chorus of reflection "from this side of the bridge", sung by Rational MCs (Mano Brown). Across the bridge / extension built between academy and the community, based on anti-racist education (FERREIRA, 2006; SILVA, 2005), the research involves the participation and effective analysis of the voices of the project components based on critical discourse analysis (Dijk, 2010 ; RAMALHO and RESENDE, 2001; FLAIRCLOUGH, 2001). The "Active Voice" Project was held in the period of one year (2013-2014) and with the collaboration of various graduation courses, among them highlight Degree and Bachelor of History, Journalism and Letters. By applying interviews with all fellows, he sought to understand how given the (re) construction of identity aspects of fellows young participants and community youths. The methodologies used to conduct the survey were: ethnographic research, qualitative and participatory type (André, 1995; DUARTE, 2002) and also some contributions of Critical Communicative Methodology (MCC) (BRAGA, et al, 2010). The results in general among participants is that the "Active Voice" Project, enabled the young people participating empowerment from the perspective of social change, the awakening to new looks and more attuned ear, with regard to racial identities, genre and sexuality (MISKOLCI, 2013; SALIH, 2013;LOURO, 2013) so they no longer fall into the traps amid walk this very unfair society. |
