Resumo: This work proposes the inclusion of the study of fractal geometry in elementary school, especially for its ability to make the learning of math more meaningful to students. The idea of studying fractals and the use of computer technology for its construction is based on: connections with various sciences; deficiencies of Euclidean geometry to study the forms of nature, since it is generally only appropriate for ways of coming world human, as constructions of houses, buildings, bridges, roads, machinery, etc.; the natural objects are frequently more complicated and require a richer geometry that models how fractals, allowing developing educational projects on cross-cutting issues facing the understanding of phenomena occurring in various environments; dissemination and access to computers and the information technologies at various levels of schooling; existence of the beauty in the fractals and possibility of awakening and developing the aesthetic sense as the study and art applied to the constructions of fractals, it being understood art as any action that involves both emotion, skill and creativity, sense of surprise at the order in disorder. It was concluded that fractals are an extension of the application of mathematical concepts that can allow students to visualize their applications in the arts, or science. Still, the use of computers for the construction of fractals has been understood as a facilitating student access to technology and specific programs to mathematical content
