Resumo: | This research investigates how characters in the complete work of Lygia Bojunga (1932 -) are constructed and make a representation of children and young universe, from a corpus of 143 characters from 23 stories. Drawing on the principles of literary theory and representation, literature and reader concepts, the study used a quantitative and qualitative methodology for the analysis procedures, carrying out a mapping of the predominant characteristics of the characters through the development of a reading report, and inclusion of information collected on the Sphinx Lexical 5.1 program, tabulation and interpretation of data. It is argued that the literary production of Lygia Bojunga favors a multiple social and non-stereotypical representation of the world in which the characters experience problems and with internal motivations outweigh the difficulties and get more mature. The analysis shows that the characters are not built exhaustively or in a Manichean way, on the contrary, reveal intrinsic existential concerns about the mankind, so take a universal character that allows them to communicate with the reader. |
