Resumo: | This study aims to analyze the book The Resistible Rise of Boto Tucuxi by Márcio Souza seeking to understand the position taken by the author against the context of the book's production and how the same context is projected in the novel, becoming a decisive element of the composition. The theoretical basis was mainly based on Bourdieu (1996) and Candido (2000), and the methodology was based on the readings of novels and essays by Márcio Souza, as well as the interviews, critical reviews and studies about his work. What conclusively closes this analysis is to recognize that the continuation of the creative project of Márcio Souza in Boto Tucuxi is devoted to establishing the signs representative of a modernist posture of Amazonian literature in counterpoint to the passadist’s, while using themes related to Amazônia and the ways of "reading" these themes as the chance to launch into the group of Amazon classifiers and be recognized by them. |
