The discursive object of this research is Mafalda Verissimo - Erico Verissimo’s wife - cutting out the discourses that develop the imagination around this subject who lived in the 20th century. The research question we search to answer is: how is the imaginary representation of Mafalda Verissimo developed and sustained discursively in different significant materialities and discursive spaces? In order to answer this question, we cut out discursive materialities that focus with/about Mafalda, from different subject positions and textualities that include text-images, literary work, interviews, commentary, museum space, and other documents. We consider as conditions of production the 20th century in order to highlight Mafalda Verissimo as a woman as a subject that is constituted in contradictions and that does not seek to stabilize herself in a standardized pattern for the place of wife, but moves beyond this place and takes over as the writer's life partner. To show this slipping, the discursive materialities are arranged in four blocks, in which we developed analyses, which were structured to meet two axes: the 'make-believe' and the 'place of memory'. The analyses conducted lead us to elect Mafalda Verissimo as a place of memory of the writer Erico Verissimo and allow us to make her the protagonist of his story alongside him. The theoretical input is the Pecheuxtian Discourse Analysis, and the theoretical and methodological devices are mobilized according to the demands of the research question and the selected corpus. |
