Resumo: |
The Covid-19 Pandemic, which affected the health of the population globally, generating devastating results from a health, social and even psychological point of view, as well as having impacts on the economic system and, therefore, on the formal job market. Some markets suffered from shortages of products, raw materials and essential components, due to high demand, and other segments had the opposite problem, losing a large number of customers due to restrictions on the movement of people, imposed as a way to stop the spread of the pandemic. . Thinking about the consequences of the Covid-19 Pandemic for the forestry sector, it is clear that the economic effects of the Pandemia Covid-19 are closely related to the increase in demand. Added to this phenomenon is the fact that there is a point of agreement in economic theories that education is a fundamental instrument for the socioeconomic development of individuals and populations, and that without it, such development is seriously compromised, or even impossible. From these considerations, the following Hypothesis was raised: Higher education in Forestry Engineering works as a relevant income aggregator for individuals graduating from this course; and as a resultant objective: Verify whether higher-level training in Forestry Engineering converts into an improvement in the income of individuals graduating from these courses.. To achieve such research objectives, an exploratory-descriptive study was developed, with a survey of bibliographic and documentary material. The source of data relating to the profile of professionals in the primary forestry sector was the Information Panel of the Annual Social Information List, (RAIS), Base Year 2021. The collection of indicators of interest was restricted to the primary forestry sector, in the period between the years 2017 to 2021. The results of this study indicate a profile of the formal labor stock in the primary forestry sector in terms of the variables education, income, gender and race, as well as how these variables behaved during the pandemic period. |
