Resumo: LIMA, C. A. S. High Skills/Leadership Giftedness: identification and supplementation for elementary school I. Master’s dissertation. Post-Graduation Programo of Special Education. Federal University of São Carlos, 2019. High Ability /Giftedness (HA/G) students demonstrate high potential in any of this areas isolated or combined: intellectual, academic, leadership, psychomotor and arts, furthermore showing great creativity, involvement in learning and performing tasks in areas of interest, according to the law. Although Leadership is one of the areas in HA/G, few studies are found in Brazil on this context, and even less in the school context. The school has an academic bias that difficult the identification on plans for potential development of students with leadership indicators. It was thought in identification in students with leadership profile at school, specifically in elementary school and how it would be this procedure for evaluation. This way it was decided to split this work into two independent studies that interweave themselves: Step 1 – High Ability/Giftedness in Leadership: Initial referral of the elementary school students and Step 2 – Enrichment of students with leadership characteristics in elementary school. The step 1 aimed to indicate gifted leadership students in a municipal public school, in the inland city of São Paulo. The draw of the research was descriptive and field study. A hundred ninety (190) students, and fifteen (15) teachers took part of the research. The instruments used were questionnaires for the teacher description; Indicator ckecklist (LIVIAHSD); Questionnaires to high ability/giftedness indication (QIIAHSD-PR); Appointment leadership list (CNL). The results pointed to seven (7) students with leadership characteristics and considered the instruments effective for identifying. The Step 2 objectives were: to plan and to accomplish a curriculum enrichment project to students with high ability/giftedness with leadership characteristics at the multifunctional resource room enrolled in an elementary school in the municipal public school in the city of São Paulo. The research was characterized in descriptive study and action research. The seven students indicated (Step 1) took part to the curriculum enrichment project (step 2) at the multifunctional resource room in the specialized educational service. The enrichments were performed type I and II with chosen themes by the students. It happened at the school in opposite time of the classes. The students could experience diversified activities and the results were positive due to the involvement of all students with the activities. Key words: High Ability/Giftedness. Leadership.
