Resumo: This work is a theoretical effort that aims to give light to a debate about the formation and development of a paradigm into scientific knowledge. More specifically the proposal is to analyze some aspects about how the scientific institutions, understood as the rules, the organization and the structure, develop a new paradigm. To reach the objectives of this work, we will analyze the case of Agroecology, a self-titled new science with a new paradigm. In order to give an account of our case study, we have based the social studies of science from the writings of Thomas Kuhn and Pierre Bourdieu, given basis to the concepts of paradigm and social fields, that we use to analyze agroecological field, and the scientific field. The paper analyzes the science, based in social analyzes of science, and the formation of the agroecological field, trying to understand what are the assumptions that compose it as a new paradigm. With this in hand, the paper analyzes the adequacy of this field to the national scientific institutions, identifying how the teaching and research is composed at the existing rules for universities and research institutes, for which analyzes two cases, in undergraduate, and three postgraduate studies. From this analysis, the work concludes that this adequacy tends to provoke a predominance of some areas of knowledge towards others, reaching some of the assumptions of the paradigm in question.
