Resumo: Focusing on the formation of authentic subjectivity in Nietzsche's first writings, this dissertation was developed in two moments: first, working with the concept of tragedy, presented in his first work The Birth of Tragedy, as a possibility of criticizing the supremacy of reason, and as a possibility of a tragic formation; later, in his writings on education, On The Future of Our Educational Institutions and Schopenhauer as Educator, looking for an understanding of the process of “becoming what one is”, of the formation of authentic subjectivity, based on the criticism that Nietzsche makes to the educational institutions of his time and Schopenhauer's exemplarity, as a possibility for the advent of the singular, authentic and honest individual. Nietzsche's own biography is seen here as an example of this formative process of “becoming what one is”: his teaching career; his defense of the Wagnerian cultural project; and his gradual departure from the influence exerted by Schopenhauer and Wagner on his own life and way of thinking, on his own philosophy.
