Resumo: |
This research has as main objective to propose a perspective of Model Analysis as a teaching method of Mathematics, which goes through stages present in the methods of Problem Solving and Mathematical Modeling, and that will contribute to the educational process of Mathematics in Basic Education, in particular, in High School, intra and interdisciplinary. It is theoretically based on three pillars: Problem Solving; Mathematical modeling; Model Analysis; and, to develop the research, adopts a qualitative, naturalistic-constructive approach. Fifty-eight Basic Education teachers and 443 High School students participated in the research. Twelve of these teachers took a short training course on the Model Analysis method and applied it to their class in March/April 2019, answering a questionnaire about it at the end of the actions, whose answers were analyzed through Textual Analysis Discursive. Based on the proposed teaching method (Model Analysis), a Support Material (pilot) was prepared that served as a reference for both the mini-training course with teachers and to assist them in the planning and practice of the method in the classroom. From the analysis performed and the observation made by the researcher in this practical phase of the research, it was evident that the Model Analysis method not only has the potential and feasibility to be implemented in school, but can contribute, in a practical way, to the teaching processes and learning mathematics in High School, favoring the improvement of the quality of these processes, while taking into account the curriculum required at this level of education. In addition, with the suggestions made by teachers, it was possible to reformulate the material initially proposed, giving rise to a Support Material that can serve as an aid and encouragement to the teacher in his pedagogical practice, when using Model Analysis as a method for teaching Math in High School. |
