Resumo: |
Same-sex couples have been fighting for 21 years for the right to adopt. The first positive data was given in 2006, when an adopted child was registered in the name of same-sex parents. Since then, changes have taken place, such as the recognition of adoption by the Circuit Court of Appeals and The Federal Supreme Court and the benefit of the adoption license, sanctioned by former President Dilma Rousseff. These battles fought by same-sex couples served as inspiration for Globo's TV authors who represented them through various audiovisual narratives. Using these narratives, assuming that they followed changes in law and culture, this study aims to analyze, through screen ethnography, how audiovisual narratives with different construction patterns approach the adoption of children by same-sex couples. The result of the research allows us to understand that even with different construction patterns and homogenization/leveling of themes between reality and fiction, the audiovisual narratives that deal with the adoption of children by same-sex couples, present similarities in relation to the adoption process, fears and insecurities of the parents and children, and also in the way judges, lawyers and social workers act. |
