The reflections about today‟s practices of scientific and technologic production have been motivated through the constant concern for environmental degradation. At universities, the inclusion of environmental issues is very recent and implies changes in the management of the same, the dynamics of the campuses and educational projects in the courses. This work includes the university campus as a space complex, plural and dynamic interrelationship between knowledge, subjects who pass by it and the natural elements that compose and elects the campus of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul as object of study. Its aim was to identify how much the PUCRS campus, which has been the subject of greening policies by senior management of the institution, is noticed by its users as a landscape that includes natural elements and search guided by the goals of environmental sustainability. It was also an objective of this study discuss, based on the contributions of environmental education and environmental psychology, strategies that could be suggested for the strengthening of person-environment relationships in this campus.The methodology used in this research consisted of a literature review and developing a trail of environmental interpretation at PUCRS campus, targeted to undergraduates and graduate students seeking awakening another look at the campus and demonstrate good environmental practice of this university. From this action, we conclude that approaching students from the campus environmental elements caused them to appropriate more of this landscape, feeling part of it, waking up to sustainability. This intervention can serve to all users of PUCRS campus space know better and realize that attending the dimension of sustainability at the university |
