Resumo: |
Analog games increasingly address historical themes in their narratives. The arrival of Hobby Games in Brazil, starting in the 1980s with RPGs and in 2010, with the emergence of national publishers focusing On the publishing of Eurogames, has reinforced the practice of playing with history. This research aimed to analyze how Hobby Games represent the Portuguese colonization and the role of Brazil through their illustrations, texts and rules in three specific games: Age of Empires III: Age of Discovery, Navegador and Tragédia de Tracunhaém. In order to demonstrate how representations are being constructed from the ludic, we used Discourse Analysis to highlight the subjects of the discourse and their relationship with the game mechanics. This made it possible to identify which history was being told, how, by whom and to whom |
