Resumo: |
This work treats the relationship between media and religion in the contemporary world through the analysis of the Christian matchmaker website, amoremcristo.com. More than just an address on the web, Amor em Cristo is a company active in social and digital media designed to unite couples in an emotional-romantic scope. The dissertation examines the object through sociological, technological, media, and religious views, always focusing on the post-digital era, a term taken from the Brazilian advertising leader, Walter Longo. This link between media and religion is an important new theme for the academic world, growing in public debate, and the adaptations that religious communities have made in communications to justify their presence on the internet. Authors such as sociologist Zygmunt Bauman and media and religion teacher Heidi Campbell contribute most to this bibliographic search methodology: the former focuses on behavior analysis of the younger generation and the latter on studies of religious communities that deal well with the media and pressure Bible hermeneutics for a healthy stay in front of the faithful in the twenty-first century communication environment. In the end, it may be perceived that most users of the site, amoremcristo.com, have been attracted in more than a decade because of a good communication position in this negotiation between religious language and the internet |
