This work aims to provide a broad view on the control of administrative contracts exercised by the Federal Court of Accounts. It sought to expose and analyze, with academic rigor, the main aspects of the legal activity, without losing sight of the practical repercussions of the discussions about each one. The topic is controversial and needs to be studied as it has concrete repercussions on the way the agencies and entities that make up the direct and indirect Federal Public Administration and their respective hired. The applied method was the survey and critical analysis of Brazilian legal literature and legislation, as well as the jurisprudence and infra-legal regulations of the Federal Court of Accounts. In relation to a few topics, the position of the Superior Courts was also exposed. It began by examining the role of the Federal Court of Accounts in the external control of the administrative function of the Brazilian State projected in its competences. From this first part, the necessary premises to face the central subject of the work were extracted. In the second part, the resources used by the Federal Court of Accounts in the control of administrative contracts, who are responsible for the initiative, their parameters, criteria, potential consequences and limits were examined, seeking to answer the questions that arise in the study of each one of these aspects. At the end, the themes covered in the development of the work are summarized and the conclusions reached in its stages are disclosed. The main challenge was to deal with the aspects analyzed in depth without deviating from the main objective of the research of presenting a broad study on the subject. estudado por repercutir concretamente na forma de agir dos órgãos e entidades que compõem a Administração
