The scenario of profound global transformations, driven by the profusion of new technologies and globalization, has been changing the way in which work is presented over time. Labor relations, which were more stable until the late twentieth century, with predictable processes and journeys, gradually became more flexible to follow the evolution of the now global organizational processes. Work in the home office modality emerges increasingly in contemporary Brazilian organizations as a form of this flexibility in the conduct of labor relations. Through the review of the literature, it has been identified that the modality of work in home office, relatively new in the Brazilian labor market, presents few published studies, mainly that approach as prism the sector of consumer goods. From this gap, the research question emerged: how are the working relationships in the work mode in home office in the consumer goods industry? This research, therefore, aims to obtain information regarding workers in the consumer goods sector, investigating and deepening the understanding of how managers and employees are impacted by the modality of home office work in their work relations. The approach chosen for this research was qualitative, guided by the objective of knowing or understanding the meanings and situational characteristics that these working individuals present. Questionnaires were applied to obtain information that allow the interpretation of the phenomenon through the thematic analysis of its content if the aid of the Software Atlas.ti – Qualitative Data Analisys. The research revealed that home office brought changes in the work relations, foccussing more on the results rather than the work hours. It points out to advantages for the worker, when he / she saves time to commute to work and back, therefore having the chance to reflect on the meaning of work, recovering the sense of purpose and worth in life |
