Resumo: |
This study seeks to shed light on the ten-year period (1886 to 1896) in which Freud acted entrepreneurially in the field of pediatrics and child neuropathology, considering that many elements of his sensitive and creative work are related to this stage of his life. With extensive access to children, families, and key figures in a context of policies for the prevention of childhood diseases, Freud gained a profound understanding that intersected medical, political, and pedagogical domains. The aim of this research is to analyze the possible impacts of this experience on clinical practice and theoretical formulations that would later lead to the emergence of psychoanalysis. The ancestral roots of Freud's experience in pediatric neurology, beyond a historical update, prove to be relevant in the face of contemporary challenges and developments, reaffirming his scientific principles deeply guided by the ethics of care |
