In the present work, an in-depth analysis will be made about the religious immunity provided for in item “b”, of item VI, of article 150, of the Federal Constitution. In effect, we will highlight, initially, the contours of the aforementioned constitutional favor in the light of the best doctrine and jurisprudence of the Brazilian Superior Courts. Then, we will make a critical analysis of the scope of cult immunity in the ordering, investigating, also, the possibility of its restriction (or not) through constitutional amendment
