Resumo: |
The theme of this dissertation is the process of referenciality and the objective of analyzing the direct and indirect anaphoric processes for the (re) construction of discourse objects and of these to the meaning of the text, in chronicles produced in the Middle Ages by Fernão Lopes. The research, under the viewpoint of Textual Linguistics, justifies itself through the relevance of the theme, mainly due to a lack of works of this textual sort, which circulated during the Middle Ages. Keeping the objective of the research in mind, two of Fernão Lopes chronicles were chosen, having as their theme the romance between D. Pedro I and Inês de Castro, in which the direct and indirect anaphoras used in the construction of the discourse objects were analyzed, for the understanding of the text as a whole, seeing that such objects are built from a determined historical context. The results indicate that Fernão Lopes, in his chronicles, after having introduced the references, keeps us bound predominately by using pronominalizations, repetitions, defined nominal expressions and elipses, ensuring the flow of the text and the textual coherence. Indirect and associative anaphoras are used with less frequency |
