Resumo: This research aims to systematize the political-media discourse of Veja magazine between the years 1985 to 2016 based on the political scandals it yielded. Therefore, we undertake a methodological combination of content analysis (BARDIN, 2011) and categorization of interpretive packages (GAMSON; MODIGLIANI, 1989) to classify the connections, controversies and hierarchies of their discursive practice. We propose to delimit a political project concept based on the hegemony, in a dialectical nexus between the indeterminacy of the structure and the ideological forms materialized in the conjuncture, considering that the consensuses are always temporary, but with longlasting foundations. From this epistemological scope, we consider the political-media discourse to be a rich empirical source that produce nodal points, and acts as an articulating principle that manages to fix meanings that are intended to be hegemonic. During the presidential terms of Sarney to Dilma, Veja magazine acquiesces or antagonizes their respective political projects, and thus dialectically engenders its own political-media project, which is composed of the articulation of the conservative- (neo) liberal dyads. We confirm our hypothesis that the production of the magazine's political scandals is editorially oriented by its own political-media project. Thus, scandals such as Mensalão and Petrolão were subject to more intensity and selectivity, and to a more personal and negative framework, especially in their protagonists-governors - Lula and Dilma. And, if Collor is subject to the same editorial policy, this is due to the fact that he threatens the implementation of the project that Veja represents and that constitutes it
