Resumo: |
Based on the hypothesis that a tactile experience is essential to the (symbolic, imagetic, cognitive, emotional) world building, this dissertation has focused on systematizing the communication resources used by deaf and blind people, conveying that their hybridism and adaptation founded support for deafblind people. Some of these resources’ functionality elucidate proposals on sensorial substitution in which audiovisual-originated information are accessed by touch (being with fingertips, palm and other body parts). This paper has resulted in (a) systematization of several tactile communicational models (haptic interface) regarding deafblind people. (b) Introduced accessibility projects yet being developed on wearable designs that, as noticed, will become tendency among assistive technology. (c) Based on three variables: (1) person status by the time of birth (no disability, deaf, blind, deafblind); (2) acquired-developed disability level (partial, total); and, (3) disability acquisition period (pre-linguistic, linguistic); we elaborated an innovative categorization of deafblind typology divided into six (06) classes and fifty-two (52) types |
