Resumo: |
The stimulus equivalence, as the study area has contributed in teaching repertoires scholars from different fields of knowledge such as Mathematics, Music, and Portuguese. These contributions are due to the fact that research on stimulus equivalence have demonstrated surprising results. From the results obtained in such surveys, it is argued that, based on studies of stimulus equivalence, we can also work with the teaching of art. This study aimed to implement a proposal for teaching of art based on the model of stimulus equivalence, specifically focusing on reading the image, which is a key content for this teaching. Took as reference the work of García and Aguayo (2005) in which the authors rely on the proposed stimulus equivalence to the formation of categories of art paintings. The study participants were college students who attended a Degree in Visual Arts in Sao Paulo. Six of them participated in a Pre- Test that assessed performance in relations EA, EB, EC and ED (recognition of names of art movements Futurism, Expressionism, Fauvism in abstract art images representative of these movements). Of the six, three participated in the other stages, namely: education of relations AB, AC, AD (relationship between two images of the same movement), Test emergence of new symmetrical and transitive relations (BA, CA, DA, BC, CD and BD), the teaching relationship AE Test emergence of new relations transitive (BE, CE, DE), Post-Test (reapplication of relations EA, EB, EC and ED Pre-Test) and Test of generalization, focusing on relations EA, EB, EC and ED with images not worked during the Pre-Test and teaching. The results showed that emergence of new relationships for all participants as well as in the Post-Test, all properly established the categories of painting at the highest level. In generalization tests, the performances ranged from: the relationship EA and EB obtained a satisfactory performance (between 80% and 100% accuracy) and the EC and ED relations we obtained unsatisfactory performance (between 60% and 79% correct) . The proposal of stimulus equivalence deals with content tied to the universe of language, signs and symbols, which the apprentice learns not only to decode, but also to understand, a fact which indicates the possibility of working with academic repertoires of Arts area .
